True Type Format: These fonts don't have outlines but do go over the lines two times. Let me explain how they work: in cutting software like Cricut Design Space and engraving software such as Adobe Illustrator, your pen tool will draw a single line and then go over it again in the exact same place. This second pass ensures beautifully defined text. Get creative with different pens for varying line thickness – gel pens, ballpoints, even metallic pens!
FontLab Pad Format: FontLab Pad is a simple, free app where you can type out true single line text. Export as an SVG file and import into your chosen software.
Open Path Format (OPF): These letters have no outlines at all! Perfect for cutting software like Starcraft CREATE and Sure Cuts a Lot. Your pen, foil quill, or similar tool will draw a single line only – no outlines, no second passes.
Special Cricut Design Space Instructions: If you encounter disappearing font issues when clicking "Make It," simply right-click the text box, choose "ungroup," and then "attach" before sending it to the machine.
